Debate Team Captain
Bahria Town School & College
Led the debate team, writing and delivering speeches under pressure. Guided the team to a competitive fifth-place finish in regional competition — and learned more from the losses than the podium.
// about me
I'm a self-taught programmer and 12th-grade student at Whiteland Community High School — originally from Karachi, now living in Greenwood, Indiana. I've been building with Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS since middle school, not for grades, but because I genuinely wanted to understand how things worked.
My long-term focus is machine learning and generative AI: fields where design decisions carry consequences far beyond any single system. I came to that understanding not from a textbook, but from an internship at a digital bank where I watched engineers reconcile software with religious principle.
Outside of code, I debate, compete in Model United Nations, and think a lot about the relationship between technology and the people it affects.

Delegate — Syria, Grade 9
Represented Syria in MUN, spending weeks inside a geopolitical context I didn't share, then defending positions I personally disagreed with. The first time I understood that precision and persuasion are different skills — and you need both.
Since Middle School
Started learning Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on my own — not for a grade, but to understand how things actually work. This portfolio is built entirely from scratch: every line written by hand.
Karachi, Pakistan
Grew up playing cricket in Karachi — a sport that taught me teamwork and composure under pressure, and how to stay focused when the environment is anything but quiet.
// projects
A hand-coded personal site — dark theme, responsive layout, typed hero animation, and zero frameworks. Designed and built from scratch to present my work the way I actually think about it.
A collection of scripts for CSV processing, file I/O, and object-oriented design — built while teaching myself Python outside of school. Focused on clean structure and practical data handling.
Self-directed study in machine learning fundamentals — model training, data pipelines, and the ethics of generative systems. Building toward applied projects in the months ahead.

Summer 2026 – Present
Amazon Warehouse IND4 — Indianapolis, USA
Part-time Associate at Amazon, where I handle fast-paced operational work that runs on the same logistics and inventory systems I study as a programmer. It's a different angle on technology — seeing the infrastructure from the inside out.

Raqami Islamic Digital Bank — Karachi, Pakistan
Worked in the IT department of a fintech institution building interest-free digital banking for the Muslim world. During mobile app beta-testing, I flagged a calculation discrepancy that turned out to matter beyond accounting standards — in Islamic finance, the underlying structure of a transaction determines whether a product is permissible at all. I came in knowing how to write code. I left starting to understand what code commits you to.
